Your data, in short

  • We don’t sell your data, and there are no ads on the site.
  • We collect what the game needs: your adventurer name and moves, and if you sign in, the email address and name Google or Apple gives us.
  • Your email address and full name are never shown to anyone.
  • OpenAI writes and illustrates your story from your moves, and Together AI may write some of its turns. We don’t share your writing with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We count how the game is used, with Google Analytics on the site once you accept cookies, and Firebase Analytics, also Google’s, in the app. They see things like a move being sent or a story finished, never your words, name or email address, and no advertising identifier. In the app, turn it off with the Share anonymous usage data switch under You, Usage data.
  • Stories you finish while signed in are public. To have one taken down, email support@sevenfoldquest.com and we will take it down.
  • Delete your account yourself, from your profile on the site or from the app’s settings. It cannot be undone. You are signed out everywhere within seconds, and within 60 minutes the rest is gone from the site and the app: your email address, name, username and public page; your published stories, which are taken down and keep no name; your place in every league; and notifications to your devices. A quest you wrote with us stays, without your name. A tier or quest you bought is not refunded, and returns if you sign in again the same way. We keep only what we must: the record of payments and what they bought, which names nobody, and your stories’ text with nothing linking it to you. The companies that take the payments keep their own records of them, under their own policies. Backup copies kept to recover from mistakes expire on their own: within 35 days, and monthly copies within a year. We never restore them to bring back a deleted account.
  • The app can tell you when a new quest is released, and only if you ask it to. Then it keeps a notification token for your phone on your account, for up to a year after the app was last opened, and nothing else is ever sent. Turn it off with the notifications switch inside the app, or sign out, and the token is deleted at once. Turning notifications off in your phone’s own Settings stops them arriving, and the token then expires on its own.
  • Want something else deleted? Email support@sevenfoldquest.com and we’ll take care of it.
